II. Do not harass, defame, or threaten people.
III. Do not distribute leaked or pirated content, fake or not.
IV. Do not discuss illegal activity or break the law.
V. Solicitation, plagiarism, phishing, spamming and user impersonation are not tolerated on any part of the forums.
VI. These forums are aimed at a general audience. Posting generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
VII. Sharing content that depicts graphic violence or overt sexuality is not tolerated (see Sub Section A.VI).
VIII. Disrespect for race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or disability is not acceptable at any time.
IX. Post to the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning.
X. Users are asked to post only in English (unless in context to a particular subject, please use judgement on when it is appropriate to speak in a foreign language).
XI. The moderating, support, and other teams reserve the right to edit, and/or remove any content they deem to be in breach of one of, or multiple of the aforementioned rules.
XII. Policing
i. Exception Gaming operates a three strike warning policy. Users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offences in a three month period. If the need arises for a fourth warning a temporary ban will be put in place of between 1 to 7 days. The length of ban is determined on a case by case analysis, the higher the severity of offences, the longer the ban sanctioned will be.
ii. Arguing with moderators after receiving a warning will lead to an immediate additional warning. Should this exceed three strikes a temporary ban will be put in place as mentioned in Sub Section A.XII.i.
iii. Users who feel they have been unfairly warned are welcome to contact relevant team leaders to appeal a warning. For example, after receiving a warning, you should contact someone of high ranking within Exception Gaming on the Moderation Team to view the warning and judge whether they feel the warning was appropriate.
iv. Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban or other moderator action will lead to a permanent ban of your account(s). Circumvention includes re-registering or using an already registered account under a non-banned username. Other examples include changing IP addresses, using a new email account or other action that can be taken to evade moderator action to hide your identity as the owner of the sanctioned account.
v. One exception to the three strike rule applies when Users contact team members personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent or vulgar material. Such Users may be subject to an immediate permanent ban.
vi. Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. While Exception gaming may consider lifting permanent bans from time to time this is a rare occurrence.
